Multi-instance

Run unlimited Roblox clients side by side and execute on any of them, or all at once.

Lynx runs in as many Roblox clients as you open at the same time, with no limit. Each client is an instance, and you choose which instances a script runs on.

The Clients list

Click Clients on the Editor page, under the sidebar. Every attached client has a row: its avatar, its name, how long it has been attached, a switch and a button that closes it.

Attaching

There is no attach step. Lynx's built-in emulator loads Lynx into every Roblox client as its game starts, and this can't be turned off. Each client joins the list on its own, and leaves it when its Roblox closes.

Choosing where scripts run

The switches in the list decide where CtrlEnter sends your code.

ActionRuns on
ExecuteEvery client whose switch is on. New clients start switched on.
Execute AllThe same, from the button at the bottom of the list.
Right-click → ExecuteOnly the client you clicked.

Switch a client off to skip it. With every switch off, Lynx tells you that no client is selected.

Closing clients

The button at the end of a row closes that Roblox client. Right-click a row for Enable or Disable, Execute and Close, and right-click the list itself for Execute All and Refresh.

Performance

Lynx adds almost nothing per instance. Roblox is the heavy part: budget 1 to 1.5 GB of RAM for each client. A few habits keep things smooth:

  • Set graphics quality to 1 in each client's Roblox settings.
  • Cap the clients you aren't looking at with setfpscap. 15 to 30 FPS is plenty.
  • Settings → Client → Unlock FPS and Max FPS set the frame cap for your clients from Lynx.
